Beware of Acai Berry Free Trial Scam

You may have heard of Acai Berries. They’re the latest rage in weight loss with ton of publicity and many different new brands which keep springing up everywhere you look.

Acai Berry is supposed to be able to help you shed pounds fast by curbing your appetite and sort of magically melt away the pounds. A lot of people have tried this berry, but the main problem is not whether it works or not, but how it is actually marketed.

The Free Trial Scam

You may have seen websites which offer a 14 or 15 day free trial of Acai Berry. This seems very enticing. You only need to pay for shipment and you get to sample the product for Free. It’s a great way for you to be able to tell if this really works for you or not, right?

WRONG!!!

What you don’t know is that the fine print of these websites states the truth. You will be automatically charged for new bottles of berries each and every month. Sometimes, the monthly charge will be $90 or more (far higher than the price you will need to pay if you just go out and buy a bottle for yourself.

This way thay get to charge you over and over again. Month after month without end.

Call To Cancel

It would all be alright if you could just call up and cancel your charges any time you wanted. But this is often harder than it seems. While many of these websites give you a phone number to call, it’s close to impossible to find anyone to talk to over there. Either you get a recording or some helpless employee who doesn’t have the authority to cancel orders.

I even heard of cases in which the person who picked up the phone was only authorized to take orders, never to cancel them.

So, you waste your time, money of phone calls, and can’t stop the charges. In some cases, all that is left to do is cancel your credit card. Otherwise, it doesn’t stop.

This Free trial scam makes me so angry I can scream with outrage. I just had to warn you about it.

Can You Really Lose Weight With Berries

The main problem is how we’ve gotten used to believe that magical pills and potions can help us to lose weight and keep it off. It just doesn’t work that way and it never will.

To lose fat and get lean requires you to eat right and do physical exercise. And yes, it is possible even if you’ve failed before.

As far as I know, there’s no proof that these berries really help you to lose weight. I don’t believe they do.

What I do believe in is YOU. By changing your life, you can lose weight and become lean. It’s a matter of decision and nothing more. It is in your hands. Make sure to take the right steps.

Instead of wasting money on useless berries, I recommend following this sound diet which works: Fat Loss 4 Idiots

The good news

The good news seems to be that the government is finally cracking down on these scam artists. As you can see in the following video, legal investigation is now under way:  Acai Berry Scam Video

The local news here had a report about this problem. Another thing the news said these people do, is start the 14 or 15 day free trial period on the day you order the product – not when it’s shipped, or when you receive it. They also send a full bottle – a one month supply. When you don’t cancel in time, you are billed the full price for a one month supply, not a 14 or 15 day free trial supply.

Not only is this bad for consumers, but also for the companies that are legitimate and ethical. I ordered a free two week trial of Bio-35. I got a two week supply for the small shipping fee, and no pressure or auto-shipments.

It’s too bad that we can’t tell the difference unless someone has experienced the good and the bad so there is a record of the business practices.

I know what you mean. These scammers make it so much harder to find stuff that actually works. If you’re to skeptical to act, you will get nowhere.
